Nepal’s Maoists Unify Mass Organizations

This announcements comes from krishnasenonline and explains developing plans for the coordination of mass organizations in preparations for actions in May. We will post updates on this site as they become available.

The meeting has decided to do some model works in all the thirteen state committees and they will be inaugurated till 8 May in every states. Likewise, cultural campaigns will be operated in the big cities of the nation. All the volunteers will have their own dress marked white traces on the ground of red colour. For its preparation, the bureau is going to conduct a two-month fund collection campaign from tomorrow.

PV Bureau Central Committee forms

Kathmandu, April 11: Peoples Volunteer Bureau has formed its central committee under the leadership of Netra Bikram Chanda Biplab, standing committee member of UCPN-Maoist. The central committee has been of 49 members. It has also formed a staring committee of Shakti Bdr. Basnet, Devendra Poudel and Ganeshman Pun under the leadership of bureau president Biplab from the meeting held today. KATHMANDU: UCPN-Maoist General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ today said that a revolt is a must to rid the party and the country of all ills.

India: Orissa Increases State Repression

This particular piece is a bourgeois news report and we should always use caution when reading such reports. It does reveal however that the growing Naxalite movement is a serious threat to the repressive Indian regime.

Orissa govt resumes offensive against Maoists

In its first-ever offensive after the uneasy truce in February this year, the Orissa Police on Sunday raided a Maoist camp at a reserve forest in the mineral-rich Keonjhar district and seized a huge quantity of gelatine explosives.

Follwing a tip-off that eight to 10 Maoists of the Kainganagar division were camping at the Bali Hill area near Rebana reserve forests, a platoon of CRPF personnel, local police and the district voluntary force (DVF) comprising former special operation group (SOG) men, raided the Maoist camps on Saturday evening.

The Maoists were having dinner when the police team arrived. However, the rebels managed to flee under the cover of darkness.

“We seized 72 gelatine sticks, several detonators and some handgrenades as well as seven kit bags. The Maoists could not take away anything. This is the biggest haul from any Maoist camp in the district,” said Keonjhar SP Ashis Kumar Singh. Read the rest of this entry »

Nepal: Mass Gathering all Over the Country

Kathmandu, April 4: UCPN-Maoist party has decided to hold mass meetings all over the country. As it was held before, the central leaders of the party will address the mass gathering. The standing committee meeting of the party has taken the decisions to mobilize people to give message that the party unity is consolidated and it is not going to split.

Instead of the above decision, the party has decided to implement the party decisions strongly and truly. Chairman of the party com. Prachanda has urged all the leaders, cadres, fronts, forums supporters, well wishers and the grass root people to unite under the flag of the party more dedicative.
